Tour De France

We went to watch the Tour De France on the Col de Tourmalet in the Pyrenees. It was 2114 metres high and we camped out in our tent the night before. There were loads of tents and motorhomes. Mum didnt fancy taking ours up there. We got there in a thunderstorm but it soon dried up. We had tea and Sam played football with some Spanish French and Austrian boys. I dont know who won.

In the morning we got up early  and went to watch the farmer rounding all the sheep up. We watched him cutting their horns, clip their hooves and give them injections. It was interesting. Then we went to bag our place for the race.I wasnt bothered about the race I just wanted to be in a good place to get all the freebies. This is what I got..... loads of sticky Haribo sweets.....Nesquick powder............shoulder bag..........Skoda sun hat..........5 Champion hats ( going for £3.20 plus £ 2.00 postage on ebay ) ....2 Le Faillitaire hats....3 fridge magnets.....beach ball.......2 charity wrist bands............2 packets of bracelets.......key ring/bottle opener............mobile phone neck strap...............3 blow up bangy things to make a noise...............giant green hand............bag of pretzels..........pizza dicount tokens................2 cups of coffee.................2 pens ( but I gave them to a French lady who had a collection of pens who had helped me get some of the stuff ) I also got some help from a Canadian man and lady who I promised to mention on here. Dad also got an apple from a policeman but we dont know where it came from ! We were on the side of the mountain for AGES but it wasnt really boring. There were all sorts of people mainly from France Spain England Australia Canada Belgium and of course Holland and Germany.

Here are some pictures...
