We were supposed to spend a month getting to Austria and then go skiing for two months but it all went WRONG
We left England on November 20 and went here.................

We stayed here for a few days cos we had a problem with the motorhome, all because Sam wanted to watch the football and the man
next to us didnt want us to have the generator on and we put the invertor on and it did something to the electricity in the motorhome.
Anyway England lost. We went to City Europe and watched all the English people buying cigarettes and loads of beer. When we were
at Calais I took this pic. Sorry about mums foot.

After that we moved on and this happened

We were taken to a garage that does American motorhome repairs and we stayed there about a week. This was the view from my bedroom

It was not too bad there as we could walk to McDonalds and get free wi fi and there was a supermarket around the corner. The only
trouble was that when we were there our car broke down.well actually it died. We couldnt decide what to do cos we knew without a
a car it would not be easy but be carried on.
We went to a campsite near Valkenburg in Holland where they have a Christmas market in the caves under the castle. It was quite good.
We stopped for a hot chocolate. Sorry dad is in the pic

Then we went and stayed on a Stelplatz in Trier.

A stelplatz is a parking place for motorhomes. Trier is the oldest city in Germany and really nice. We went to the Christmas market
and we had allsorts of nice things to eat. In the church is supposed to be the clothes Jesus was wearing when he was cruxified.

We stayed there a few days and then we stayed a night on a Stelpltz at Neckarsulm. We wanted to go there to see my friends but
because we didnt have a car we couldnt but there was a fantastic swimming pool there with loads of different pools so me and Sam had
a great time.
After thereb we went to a campsite next to the football ground in Stuttgart. We stayed there four days. We did some schoolwork and
went to the Christmas market which was really good. We had Patatas Bravas which were better than we ever had in Spain.
Dad told us about how the Americans bombed Stuttgart in the second world war.
After there we went to Seehammer near Austria and this was the first time we saw snow. I made this tiny snowman. I know its rubbish
but I had fun doing it.

This was the view from my bedroom

The next day we went to Austria. We spent ages at the border buying a thing you have to put in the motorhome to go on the motorway.
I think the machine wouldnt work but all the lorry drivers behind us must have thought it was our fault. Anyway dad went mad cos it was
really expensive. We soon got to the campsite which was really snowy. We already saw the ski lifts and the campsite had its own ski lift.
There was loads of snow and it was great but it was really cold. We went for a walk in the village and we were really excited.
The next morning everything was frozen. The water was frozen, the windows were frozen, the door was frozen shut. The gas didnt work
very well. We dont know how cold it was but someone told dad later it was minus 22. Me and Sam spent all day sledging and mum and dad
tried to sort the motorhome out. The next morning everything was really really frozen and whatever dad did it just froze up again. They decided
to leave cos the motorhome would be ruined. Nobody wanted to go. We got all our ski stuff and never went skiing. There were other camp sites lower
down the mountain but they didnt have a ski bus and cos our car was dead in Belgium we decided to leave.

We were really sad.
We went back to Neckarsulm then to a place called Venlo in Holland and then to Duinrell in Wasenaar near The Hague. We stayed there two weeks over
Christmas. It has an ace swimming pool with loads of slides and the fairground was open. We got all of that free with the price for staying there. Thereb was
Bingo and table tennis and things going on. Sam made a few friends there to mess about with but I didnt. It was OK but not as good as skiing in Austria. It was still
really cold there but not as cold as Austria

After that we went to Brugge.
It is quite a nice place. We went to see an Ice Sculpture exhibition. I really liked it and took loads of pics but none of them have come out
properly and I am disappointed about it.
When we were there dad got a phone call saying grandma died so we had to come home. We went on the ferry from Ostend to Ramsgate
It was really nice. We watched videos all the way back sitting on really comfy seats

and this is Sam on the boat watching Austin Powers

Our trip wasnt as good as we planned but as dad says at least we are all safe and all together................BORING
